The rumors about Acer ICONIA W3-810 were going around for quite some time, but they always came from unverified sources. Although the device has not yet been introduced, the company's site in the Finnish market posted official information about it

It is a tablet with a 8.1-inch screen which makes it the first tablet of its kind for Windows 8. The device is powered by Intel's Atom Z2760 processor, which means it comes with a "real" Windows. The screen resolution is 1280x768 pixels, it has 2 GB of RAM, and the tablet will be available in editions with 32 or 64 GB of permanent flash memory.

Additionally, Acer will offer a keyboard that will serve also for the erection of the tablet. The manufacturer did not try to cram the buttons on the keypad on the surface of the tablet, so the keyboard size is considerably larger than the tablet. They will also offer the cover for the tablet with which users be able to hold it at an angle. It is equipped with microUSB and microHDMI connectors, has a built-in two megapixel resolution camera, and declared battery life when playing video is eight hours.

All that is still unknown about this tablet is its price. Acer will almost certainly demonstrate this device at the Computex show in early June.

[Ed - We briefly covered our toughts on the W3-810 as part of a larger editorial on Microsoft, but we also wanted to give Acer the proper time for their new product. We still feel that these produts will not last long though.]
