Android KitKat to focus on TV support

Written by

Reading time is around minutes.

According to the Korean newspaper ETNews, a new version of the operating system Android will be more focused on options for television than for smart mobile phones, so it may not bring such a huge update for smartphones as many of users are expecting.

Android 4.4 KitKat will supposedly improve the way televisions and devices based on Android work together. They did not set out any specific details, however, they mentioned an enhanced user interface.

According to available information, KitKat will not bring big novelties, but will be more focused on fine-tuning of the user interface. However, on some pictures that were leaked to the public we can see the possibility of projecting images from the display of the device based on Android to user's TV via Miracast protocol.
