This week the company Japan Display praised with their new achievement. They produced a new screen for installation in mobile phones, which is intended only for top-quality appliances. This is a screen with a diagonal of 5.5 inches, WQHD resolution (1440 x 2560 pixels), built in TFT LCD technology and a pixel density of impressive 538 PPI.

The first deliveries of this screen are planned for April, so the first cell phones with it could be on the market in the second half of this year. This perioed when the launch of the iPhone 6 is also expected, and since Japan Display is Apple's supplier of the screen, this served as a great foundation for further rumors about a new iPhone model.

The company would not comment on these allegations, nor did they give any hint that it is precisely this screen which could be the backbone of the future of Apple's mobile phone, as some believe. However, other sources say that the 5.5-inch WQHD screen will end up with some of the Chinese manufacturers, which is more likely outcome.
