Zynga Bets The Farm On Farmville 2

Zynga Logo

Most of us probably remember having our news feeds on Facebook bombarded with status updates of the once prolific game, Farmville. Perhaps, like me, you even played the game for a period of time, enjoying the dull, repetitive “grinding” pace of progress in the game. For a time, it was enjoyable, and very popular, as have several other of Zynga's games. However, despite their original success with Farmville, Zynga's stocks have been constantly slipping for the past several months.

Internet subscribers to AT&T, Cablevision, Comcast, Time Warner, and Verizon have a nasty surprise ahead. Their freedoms online are about to be curbed. Torrent services and other means of downloading or accessing material questionably are being monitored via MarkMonitor. MarkMonitor is a company who has been contracted by the aforementioned Internet Service Providers and interested copy right holders. This conglomeration of big business is known as the Center for Copyright Information. MarkMontior is a firm whose sole purpose is to monitor and report on internet based activity which violates the legal interests of companies such as these.

The Netflix App for Android devices has finally received a face lift! The lists of titles for viewing has been dramatically increased, the user interface has been greatly improved with short cuts and new features, and things have been moved around to be more user friendly and easier to navigate.

Listener Approved is a new company with the goal of promoting the private music industry. Artists of all ages, genres, creeds, and backgrounds can use this platform to publish their music, allow others to listen to it, and receive feedback on it. The Listener Approved application is linkable with all major social networks, like Facebook, Twitter, etc. I would dare say that Listener Approved is on the way to becoming “the” social music application.

Ebay's Feedback System Is Broken

eBay Logo

Almost everyone is familiar with eBay, the online auction/retail site where consumers can go to bid on or purchase almost anything, ranging from paperclips and toast that looks like Elvis to houses and cars. Ebay offers a place to sell collectables, odds and ends, and various one of a kind products that are nigh impossible to come by elsewhere. A key feature of eBay is its close integration with PayPal, which offers buyers an added level of protection against fraud.

High quality self-recording of Point Of View (POV) events has largely been something that is out of the realm of the average consumer. Typical video cameras aren't steady enough, and are too bulky for such uses. Smaller devices, until recent years, haven't been able to easily provide the resolution or picture quality desired to justify their use.

Financially Speaking, Intel vs AMD

17

It seems like every other amateur computer builder has joined the fan club of either Intel or AMD for their processor needs. It is no secret that Intel builds over-all more capable processors; if you are willing to cough up the extra cash for diminishing returns in the area of performance. AMD has typically been seen as the more cost effective solution for gaming (though, this is highly debatable currently), and sells over all less expensive processors.

Are You Hungry For Raspberry Pi?

RaspiModelB

A Raspberry Pi is a tiny computer that has a chance to revolutionize the world by extending the opportunity of owning a computer to the masses. The producers of this device, the Raspberry Pi Foundation, are a charitable organization based out of the United Kingdom. Their goal is relatively simple: to provide an inexpensive and easily accessible means for children and teenagers to learn to program . I will primarily be focusing on the Model B, the more capable of the two types currently available.

Minecraft To Get An Update Soon

MC-01

The newest major update for Minecraft on the PC is slated for October 24th, which is just around the corner! This update has been dubbed, in true end-of-October tradition, “The Pretty Scary Update”. If you are familiar with Minecraft, there are a number of features to this patch which make it very scary, especially if you have gotten used to monsters in the game being pushovers, and only dangerous en masse (with exception to the suicidal creeper, of course).

open book

In today's increasingly mobile environment, many students, particularly those in college, are no longer tolerating being weighed down by their textbooks. Instead, they are turning to eBooks, and accessing their texts from a myriad of devices, like their laptops, tablets, or smartphones. Two of the more popular multi platform eBook brandss are VitalSource and CourseSmart. Lets take a quick look at the main points of what each has to offer.
