Corsair Professional Series HX850 Power Supply Review @ Legit Reviews
NewsSix years ago Corsair first entered the PSU market with the HX520W and HX620W, both of which products were marked as a great success for the company. Today the company offers 6 series of PSUs but the HX series remains alive, with its modular 80Plus Gold certified units right between the elite AX series and the mainstream 80Plus Bronze certified TX series. In this review we are taking a crack at testing the most popular model of the HX series, the HX850.
"As it can be seen from the graphs and tables of the two previous pages, the overall performance of the Corsair HX850 PSU is well above average. Electrically, the power supply displayed very good voltage line regulation in conjunction with low ripple, plus it satisfied the efficiency requirements of an 80Plus Gold certified unit. The thermal performance is also very good, especially considering the lack of heatsinks providing any noteworthy heat dissipation surface..."

BIOSTAR Hi-Fi Z77X Intel Z77 Motherboard Review @ Legit Reviews
NewsBIOSTAR is entering the Hi-Fi audio market with their Hi-Fi series of Intel motherboards. Today we are going to take a look at the BIOSTAR Hi-Fi Z77X motherboard and see how the audio performance will stack up against the performance of the Realtek ALC898 High Definition audio codec. Are we going to be able to see the difference between the BIOSTAR Hi-Fi Z77X and the Realtek ALC898? Read on to find out!
"The BIOSTAR Hi-Fi Z77X is certainly a motherboard for designed for audiophiles. We like that BIOSTAR was able to isolate the audio chip from the rest of the board and use an EMI shield along with high-quality components to improve onboard sound. Audio testing is very tough and while we were able to see some differences in RightMark Audio Analyzer, it was hard to..."

Corsair Neutron 240GB SSD Review - Link_A_Media Controller @ Legit Reviews
NewsIf, like us, you're ready for something fresh in the SSD market you're in for a treat. Corsair has launched their Neutron series of SSDs with a brand new controller from Link_A_Media Devices and the results of our benchmarks show it to be a serious competitor. Should the other drive makers be looking over their shoulder? Have a look to see what we have to say about it.
"Corsair touts the Neutron 240GB drive as reaching max performance numbers of 555 MB/s reads and 370 MB/s writes which we found to be spot on for the ATTO benchmark and not far off on the other tests. Given that performance is not impacted by data compressibility, that's to be expected as well as solid performance numbers in the real world tests. We didn't spot anything amiss in any of the numbers and general usage of the drive in Windows yielded positive results with no hint of stuttering, lagging or BSOD's. TRIM and idle garbage collection seem to be working fine as well so no worries there. Overall, our first impressions are very positive..."

"The Kingston DataTraveler Workspace measures 75.29 x 22.98 x 16.44mm and as we mentioned earlier is a USB 3.0 drive. Kingston hasn't set final specifications for speed, but right now they are seeing sequential Read/Write speeds while running Windows 8 of 250/150MB/s and sustained random 4K Read/Write while running Windows 8 of 3,750/6,000 IOPS. These are pretty impressive drive speeds and we were told this drive can score 22,000 points on the PCMark Vantage HDD test suite..."
