HTC has introduced a 5-inch smartphone called Butterfly S with very impressive specifications. The device is based on the quad-core Snapdragon 600 with 1.9 GHz clock speed (higher clock speed than the HTC One) and 2 GB of RAM, while superior components follow through the rest of the smartphone.

This 5-inch Super LCD 3 display has full HD resolution (1,920x1,080 pixels, 440 ppi) and Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and there are still 16 GB of internal flash memory expandable with microSD cards (finally!) and 25 GB of storage space on Dropbox, free for two years. Background UltraPixel camera is fllowed by the front one with 2.1 megapixel resolution, and the device has BoomSound stereo speakers on the front (BeatsAudio) and Android Jelly Bean (4.2.2) with HTC Sense 5 interface.

Many people will like and HTC's decision to generously upgrade battery capacity to 3,200 mAh, which is necessary for a decent autonomy of the above specifications, HTC says that device will be capable for 3.5 days of continuous music playback. Among the few disadvantages is certainly questionable access to Western markets. HTC Butterfly S is so far announced only in Taiwan (the rest of Asia is in the plan) at a cost of about $766.
