Intel breaking into automotive industry

Intel wants to accelerate the development of new autonomous vehicles , and the company also announced the first products which will help them achieve that goal. New line of In-Vehicle Solutions products was launched, and Intel announced additional investments and research aimed at fostering the development of the car towards better informing , assisting and taking control of the vehicle.

The product line In-Vehicle Solutions encompasses a series of computer modules, integrated software package that consists of an operating system and mediator software and development packages . The solutions will enable car manufacturers to focus their resources on technological innovation and a better user experience in cars. The first available products are designed for systems for information and entertainment with advanced capabilities to help drivers, while future products will be focused on advanced driving environments such as autonomous or selfdriven cars.

Intel's department  Internet of Things in the first quarter achieved revenue of $ 482 million, an increase of 32% compared to the same period last year, and it encourages strong demand for automotive systems for information and entertainment.
