The Leaked images seem to be legitimate Nikon made device pictures, probably made for the announcement that is in 2 days. The Coolpix 5800c comes in 3 different models, one is a bit more square while the other 2 are made in a more round shape. According to pictures they have standard buttons for controling the device such as button for zooming in and out, taking pictures, entering the gallery etc. On one picture we can see it running what looks like Android 2.3 Gingerbread with maybe a few modifications. There is also a set of 3 buttons that will likely be used for navigating through the Android software.
Since the device has Android we can expect it to work with WiFi, and maybe it will even be able to connect to mobile data. It is not yet sure if this be the only models from Nikon with Android, but if it turns out good for Nikon maybe this will be the way that future cameras will follow. We can thank to http://nikonrumors.com for this leaked photos.
[Ed- The images are interesting to say the least. What we found very odd was that it looks very much like someone took a screen shot of an Android screen that pasted it over the camera. We are just not sure if these are real imges yet or not. We have reached out to a couple of people at Nikon and will let you know if they answer. For right now take these pictures with a grain of salt, it would be cool to see Android on a point and shoot, but it might not end up being feasible.]
