Portal Polygon states that players will at any time be able to take control of any character, no matter in which part of the map is one located, provided that they have previously completed an active mission. Three of the protagonists of the game have their own unique abilities, such as Michael's bullet time that slows down time, Trevor's beserk mode that allows him to violently attack or Franklin's slow motion drive. Each special ability is limited and in order to use them players will have to "recharge" them with various actions.
The game will bring a lot of activities for players looking for mindless fun, so you will be able to play golf, go to yoga classes and do things like that with an infinite number of side missions and mini-games.
