In addition to the GeForce GTX 770, Nvidia has unveiled their line-up from the GTX series chips for laptops this week. Featured models are GeForce GTX 760M, 765M, 770m and 780m, all with support for GPU Boost 2.0 and with higher performance than the previous generation.

Most certainly the most interesting is GeForce GTX 780, a graphics processor that will be present in the most powerful gaming laptops. GTX 780 is based on the full version of GK104 chip (like the GTX 680 and 770 for desktop computers), and comes with 1,536 CUDA cores, 256-bit memory bus and up to 4GB of GDDR5 memory. Clocks are slightly lower than expected in the cards for desktop computers (basic GPU tact is 823 MHz, while the memory ticks at 5 GHz), but should be more than sufficient for superior performance in games at high quality settings display.

Slightly weaker GTX 770m (GK106) has 960 CUDA cores, 192-bit bus and 3 GB of GDDR5 memory, while the GTX 760M and 765M have 768 CUDA cores and 128-bit bus and the same GK106 chip in furtherly weakened edition. The latter two GPUs differ in operating speeds and support for up to 2 GB of GDDR5 memory. Presented graphics processors will be available in laptops with Intel Haswell generation, and presentation of numerous models of most hardware manufacturers can be expect at the upcoming Computex.
