But Apple still holds the lead in terms of individual manufacturers of tablets with a share of 32%, while there is Samsung in the second place with the most Android based tablets, with a share of 18%. Gartner research found that users prefer tablets with a smaller diagonal screen. In a sample of 21,500 users, they found that 47% users own a tablet with a diagonal of 8 inches or less.
According to the type of device in the 2013 there will be 303 million desktop and laptop computers, 18.5 million ultra devices, 184 million tablets and 1.8 billion mobile phones delivered. In total there will be 2.3 billion different devices shipped.

53% increase in tablet deliveries

According to forecasts by Gartner this year tablet deliveries will increase by 53% , while the deliveries of desktop and notebook PCs will fall by 11%. Tablets of all manufacturers based on the Android operating system for the first time should overtake Apple's iPad product line. We can expect delivery of 91.5 million Android devices (49.6 %), compared to 89.6 million iPads shipped (or 48.6%). As for the tablets on a Windows operating system, it is expected that there will be more than 3 million units shipped, which gives them a 1.7% share.
