EA Sports said that they put a lot of effort in trying to improve next NBA Live “When we started the process of bringing back NBA LIVE, we knew it was going to be a long journey. We started by moving the game to a new studio. We brought in some of the best new technology that has helped fuel innovation in our other games. We launched an even deeper level of engagement with our community to gather more feedback directly from fans. And we built a whole new development team to bring it all to life.” But they are not satisfied with the current development of the game and they refused to launch a half-product.

“This wasn't an easy decision, but it's the right one for our fans. I hope you'll agree when you're able to play the game next year.” and this year NBA 2K13 from Take-Two studios will have no competition so might score some good sales results. NBA 2K13 will arrive next month and it will cost around $60. Can we expect something revolutionary from EA Sports next year or will they release just another game in a row. It will also be interesting to see how customers will react and if the NBA Live fans cross over to NBA 2K13 or stay loyal and trust that EA really wants what is best for them.

[Ed – EA is not in the best position to launch a game that they are not 100% certain will be a hit. There are rumors that EA is positioning themselves to be bought out (possibly by Microsoft) and having a a failed game would be bad for that effort. We have a feeling that we might see a few more games put off until early next year in addition to NBA Live.]
