AMD has introduced another processor within the Vishera platform for AM3 + socket. It is a quad-core FX-4130 chip with a Piledriver architecture. This new CPU inherits the old model name FX-4100 and it is very similar in price and performance. It looks like AMD wants to give at least a small upgrade for users of this older socket.

The AMD FX-4130 is faster than its predecessor by between 3 and 9 percent and it works on the basic clock of 3.8 GHz (Turbo 3.9 GHz) with a total of 8 MB of cache memory. The processor has an unlocked multiplier for easier further overclocking, while the TDP is 125W.

Globalfoundries produces this CPU for AMD in their current 32-nanometer manufacturing process, and the company says that we can expect a similar cheap models from the Vishera platform soon due to Globalfoundries increased production. Expected price of the proposed model, the FX-4130 is $101, although it is currently priced on AMD's site at $112 per piece for large orders of at least 1,000 units.
