Corsair has introduced the Extreme Vengeance DDR3 memory kit, which is currently the fastest available memory module. It is a dual-channel DDR3 memory kit with two plates of 4 GB (8 GB total) that run on a standard clock speed of up to 3000 MHz at voltage of 1.65 V and 12-14-14-36 latency.

Corsair points out that in order to achieve the advertised speed it is necessary to have a motherboard with Intel Z77 chipset and the unlocked version of the third-generation Core processors (Ivy Bridge) - as an example of these boards they took Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe and Asrock Z77 OC formula.


If you are interested in this memory kit, evidently designed for record-breaking, be prepared to pay a hefty sum of $750.
