SOADA-PosterWe are going to start a new weekly announcement. Each week we will cover any and all game announcements, rumors, and other gaming news in one article. Of course if there is something that is breaking news we will write it up right away, but for the most part we will be putting all of the news for new games, trailers and updates that we receive into once page on Thursday evening. Here are the things that we found out this week so far.

The price for this will still be pretty hefty even considering what you are getting, but if you have $84.99 to spare and are a fan of Rich Knuckles then this one is for you.
Check out the full details over on Steam.

Mech Warrior Tactics new details
In other gaming news we have more details on Mech Warrior Tactics. This is a new game from Roadhouse Interactive and A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. and should be shown off at this year’s GDC (Game Developer’s Conference).  We told you that this game was pending launch and that there is a new site up which allows you to pre-register your commander name before the full game hits the streets.

The game itself will be a free-to-play experience, but not everything in the game world is free. You will still have to either purchase or earn items that allow you to build, customize and upgrade your Mechs. To quote the PR:
MWT-Stalker_concept
“MechWarrior Tactics allows players the freedom to collect and purchase vital combat and cosmetic resources to outfit each Mech, assemble a lance of four Mechs, and then go online for epic multiplayer showdowns competing for large payouts and top billing on global leaderboards. Master each Mech chassis and develop endless new configurations in your Mech Bay. Assemble a lance for the ages and keep one step ahead of both your friends and enemies. “

IronClad Games announces Sins of a Dark Age
Next up we have news that there will be a follow on to the popular Ironclad game Sins of a Solar Empire coming soon. This game will have the title Sins of a Dark Age and will take online strategy game to a different level. This is the SOADA website that we told you about not all that long ago.
SOADA-Header
“Sins of a Dark Age is something totally unique in the strategy genre,” said Blair Fraser, co-founder and producer at Ironclad. “Like Sins of a Solar Empire, which blended 4x with real-time strategy, we’ve taken our favorite elements of traditional RTS and action RTS and added our own twists and turns that result in a completely new and unrivalled strategy experience.”

As with MechWarrior Tactics there is a website up to reserve your game name, but also you can possibly get in on the Beta. Head over there and check it out.

Possible Thief 4 trailer in the works
We have heard that the long awaited sequel to the popular first person sneaker Thief could be in the works. The game is a different sort of first person game in that you try to sneak, and steal your way through the game world instead of just killing everyone in the room. The last episode in the line was a few years ago and fans are eagerly awaiting this release, almost as much as the Gordon Freeman fans are looking forward to the next HalfLife installment.

That wraps up our gaming coverage for this week, if you hear rumors, news, innuendo or anything about the world of PC gaming be sure to send it our way at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

For now you can talk about these games in our Forum’s gaming section.
