HP in collaboration with Taiwanese manufacturers of electronic components cooperate on the development of smartphones, according to DigiTimes. Stories of HP's return to production pf smartphones are circulating for some time, and plans were also indicted by company's director Meg Whitman in an interview with Fox Business Network in September last year.

As is already known, HP back in 2010 for $ 1.2 billion acquired Palm and introduced two mobile devices running webOS. But poor sales result led to shutting down the whole production, while the rights and intellectual property related to webOS company sold to LG at the beginning of this year.

Yam Yin, one of the company directors, in a recent interview confirmed plans to return to production of smartphones, but did not dislose the time frame when they plan to achieve that objective. According to the latest unofficial information, the new HP smartphones should be present by the end of this year.
