Intel's flash memory has a capacity of 128 GB, and according to company's words, it is the currently the fastest device of its kind and is much faster and the ubiquitous flash memory USB 3.0 interface. The device is based on SANDISK'S SOLE SSD solution.

Intel's prototype is connected directly to the Thunderbolt interface and supports data transfer rates up to 10 Gb/s (specific memory performance was not listed), so this solution might be interesting to those who have the need for fast transfer of large files but do not want to use an external SSD. For now there is no information about a possible time of commercial availability of Intel's Thunderbolt memory, nor about the potential cost.
