Some of the tweaks that will come with new update are:
1.“Project Butter“ – meant to make the phone experience smoother, FPS boosted to 60, implemented vsync and triple buffering
2. Improved voice typing
3. Support for Braille devices and improved gesture mode for blind users
4. Ability to resize the Pop-up Play window
5. Ability to apply live filters while using camera or camcorder
6. Easy mode for new smartphone users
ESPN found a way to push their app ScoreCenter into the new software, but hopefully that's not what is causing the delay, since it's made only for the US version of the software. The delay could also be caused by rigorous testing that is conducted by wireless carriers. Galaxy S3 owners can do nothing but wait and maybe even feel frustrated that there are already new Samsung devices like the Note II in stores running Jelly Bean, while they have to wait until after practically the whole world has received the update before they get it. Besides certain parts of Europe, South Korean owners also got the update earlier this month, but that's still the minority of sold devices. Now all customers have to wait to receive announcements from their carriers and we will inform you as soon as that happens.
[Ed – in many cases the updates are compeletly ready, but the acarriers delay sending them out so they can stuff them with their own software. Typically Sprint users suffer the most due to the large amount of shovelwarae that is in their OS updates. It is sad that Samsung's most popular phone is this far behind.
