The biggest change is the replacement of the 3.5G sensor with new 4G optical sensor that has 6400 dpi maximum resolution with drift control, for proper registration of the smallest movement within the game. An upgrade of ergonomics refers to the addition of a new rubberized coating on the sides with anti-slip textures while the shape of the mouse is equivalent to predecessor.

Other characteristics also remain unchanged, such as support for software Synapse 2.0, the sampling rate of 1 MHz, five programmable buttons, jacketed cable with gold-plated USB connector, and other properties. The mouse can be used by owners of Mac computers too, and the price is $69.99, while the standard edition of DeathAdder is now $59.99 but currently out of stock at official Razer store.

[Ed – what is interesting about this is that in the same price range there are other mice that exceed these “updated” specifications. Still the Razer and DeathAdder names are well known with Gamers so we expect this upgraded model to do well in the gaming market.]
