The entry model will be the SkullCandy SLYR with a budget price of $80, and they will feature a stash-able mic, a GMX in-mixer for individual settings for audio and voice, and EQ3 for custom sound equalization settings for games, music and movies. The SLYR can be purchased from the official SkullCandy shop. As we increase the price to $129.95 we come to the PLYR 2 which will be available soon, also via the official shop. The PLYR 2 is a wireless model as is the PLYR 1. It comes in 3 color combinations, teal/navy, white and, black/yellow. The next model is the wireless PLYR 1 that will feature all of the above specs, but also 7.1 sound. The PLTR 1 is compatible with PC, PS3 and XBOX. The PLYR 1 will be available for $179,95 from the Skullcandy shop in white.
On the left headphone there will be stash-able mic, and on the right you will have a power button, EQ switch, mini USB port and a volume/mix-balance control. Here you can see renders from the official Skullcandy page; if not with their performance they will surely attract customers with the design.
[Ed – audio is one of the places that has fallen behind for the PC. It is good to see companies addressing these shortcomings with products that not only deliver performance, but are also fairly stylish.]
