Innodisk nanoSSD introduced the first solid state device made according to JEDEC MO-276 SATA μSSD specification. It is a complete SSD packed into one BGA chip with a dimensions of 16x20x2 mm and weighing only 1.5 grams, available in capacities from 4 to 64 GB.
Innodisk nanoSSD in a single chip implements the company's controller ID167 and NAND flash memory. It has a 6 Gb/s SATA interface, and is suitable for installation in tablets, smartphones, mobile industrial systems and devices from the embedded segment. Data transmission speeds of nanoSSD and is 480 MB/s for reading and 175 MB/s for writing data, while the maximum power consumption is as small as 1 W.In addition, the solution also meets industrial specifications for shock resistance and operating temperature (-40 to 85 degrees Celsius) and security specification MIL-STD-810F/G. The company will be able to present nanoSSD solutions at a conference in Taipei later this month. When do you think disks like this will replace HDDs in more mobile devices? Tell us in our Forum
