Wii U receives a speed-up

Nintendo's Wii U, the successor to famous Wii issued last year, was very interesting for some customers at the first sight while others were not so much impressed, but on one thing they all agreed, console's performances were not as expected. Aware of this, Nintendo recently decided to push out the first major software upgrade for their new console and dealt with that aspect.

The upgrade is primarily concerned about reducing load time and other accelerations of the system, but also adds a few novelties. For example, we can now copy files between two USB drives, download and installation of future updates can be performed in the background, and if you hold the B button when you start the console it will boot directly with interface from which we can play games intended for the first edition of Wii console.

Nintendo says that this is not the end of the performance improvements they plan for Wii U. The next upgrade, which is expected to be released this summer, will also deal with further optimization of the speed of the console.
