Since it's not really smart to admire sleek statements from press materials, we will list the hardware point of view of this not so impressive device, because it runs Qualcomm MSM7225 Snapdragon Cortex-A5 processor clocked at 1.0 GHz and Adreno 200 graphics, it has a 3.5-inch screen screen with a "tiny" resolution of 320x480 pixels, and has 256 MB RAM and 512 MB storage memory, expandable with microSD cards up to 32 GB.
But fans of fully "unlocked" cell phones will likely be happy with the knowledge that the device is fully unlocked, meaning it will work in each of 2G and 3G network (2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900, 3G: HSDPA 850/900/1900 / 2100) with a mini SIM card. Mobile phone includes almost everything you would expect from a smart phone, calls, messages, e-mail, camera (3.15 MP) with "Geo Tagging", HTML5, Facebook, Twitter, Nokia HERE folder, Firefox browser, Firefox Marketplace and many other things. Although the price has not been determined, the initial requested amount is set at $79.99, and at the time of this writing, the day before the start of deliveries, deals have reached $167,51. The offer currently only applies to residents of the U.S., but it will soon be available for the UK market, and after that global availability is expected.
ZTE and Mozilla believe that the platform will be very interesting for developers to develop web applications for Firefox OS, and we would add that it seems like a pretty interesting and inexpensive gadget from which you should not expect too much, but it will meet all the basic needs that users require from their smartphones, and at the same time it will be interesting to see all the web applications that will emerge for the device.
