Offline chatting comes to life on Android too

FireChat , an application that allows you to communicate without using a connection to the Internet or phone signal is now available to users of Android devices. Previously only owners of iOS devices with iOS 7 system installed were able to use it.

The latest version of iOS is important because Multipeer Connectivity Framework technology that was delivered by iOS 7. It enables iOS users to communicate with people located in a 10 meter space around them with flexible use of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection with a peer-to-eer connectivity. To do the same function on Android devices, Open Garden company behind the application, had to create their own technology based on Multipeer Connectivity Framework. Technologies have certain differences, and therefore it is not yet possible to achieve communication between Android and iOS users of FireChat.

FireChat application is available for Android users in the Google Play store and can be accessed here. Users of iOS devices can be purchased on the App Store here.
