Reading time is around minutes.

Samsung today officially unveiled two new mobile phones in the category of so called "phablets". So it is neither phone nor tablet - or - if you prefer - both phone and tablet. It is, in fact, the devices with screen diagonal of big 6.3 or 5.8 inches, which is called Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 and Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8. Not to mix them with a series of notes, as they do not come with the S Pen stylus.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 also has a screen with a 720p resolution and comes with Exynos 5250 chipset with dual-core processor ticking at 1.7 GHz, with 1.5 GB of RAM. As far as software is concerned, there is Android OS 4.2 and TouchWiz UI with Air View, seen on the Galaxy S4. Background camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels. It is nice that this gigantic smartphone is only 8 millimeters thick. It weighs 199 grams and has a battery capacity of 3200 mAh. it will be shipped with a 16 or 32 GB of memory storage and a microSD card slot.

"Smaller" model, aka Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 has "only" qHD resolution, the same processor as its bigger brother, but clocked down to 1.4 GHz. Is 9 millimeters thick, weighs 182 grams and has a battery of 2,600 mAh.
