Samsung records excellent sales results for their new flagship smartphone Galaxy S4. According to Samsung's deputy director Shin Jong-Kyun, the company pass the milestone of 10 million units sold next week.

If this goal is achieved, the Galaxy S4 will become the fastest selling smartphone in Samsung's history - the device was released for sale late last month in 60 countries. The previous model, the Galaxy S3 achieved 10 million sold units seven weeks after the start of sales, while the S4 at this pace should achieve the same amount in less than a month.

Part of the credit for the excellent sales of Samsung Galaxy S4 belongs to higher investment in marketing and advertising campaign that accompanied the device since its launch earlier this year. This year Samsung plans to sell about 20 percent more mobile phones than last year, or a total of 510 million units out of which 390 million should do smartphones.
