WhatsApp gets the iOS 7 design

WhatsApp has refreshed their user interface, added new icons and now it fits perfectly in the new layout of the iOS 7. However, team responsible for the development of applications has not only dealt with cosmetic trifles, but in addition they corrected several errors and threw in a couple of novelties.

There is a phrase in the patent world that used to mean something, but now seems to have lost its meaning: prior art. The term according to Miriam Webster means: “the processes, devices, and modes of achieving the end of an alleged invention that were known or knowable by reasonable diligence before and at its date —used chiefly in patent law”. To put it simply prior art is any technology, device, papers, theory, etc. that was publicly known at the time of “invention” and before the patent filing which could have influenced (or actually did) the inventors.

Company Amazon launched its version of an advertising campaign that attacks the competition. In fact in a commercial for their tablet Kindle Fire HDX, Amazon pokes competition from Apple, which recently launched new models of the iPad family to the market.

Apple to swap Gorilla with sapphire

Apple receives permission to start building new HQ

Apple on Tuesday received final green light for the construction of its new headquarters, which is often called "spaceship" by the media, from local authorities. Impressive building called Campus 2 will be the center of the new complex, and after obtaining all permits, company can now start the construction whose completion is scheduled for mid 2016.

Apple Get's Another Chance at a Samsung Ban...

In the long running battle between Samsung an Apple there is new twist. It seems that an appeals court would like a lower court to reconsider the Apple request for a permanent injunction on Samsung products based on three utility patents. Now, while having a court reconsider something is not unusual it is interesting to note that the patents in question constitute a very small portion of the products in question. It also comes not long after the US Administration blocked a similar ban won by Samsung against Apple for patent infringement, but upheld one requested by Apple against Samsung.

Apple to invest in superior lasers and robots

The world's richest company, Apple, will part of its more than 147 billion of cash in the account invest in the development of the manufacturing process. According to Bloomberg, the company will allocate as much as 10.5 billion dollars on "lasers and robots", in other words the most modern production equipment for their factories.
