In mid-1999 software and hardware developers uncovered a bug of sorts that, at first glance, seemed like it would end the computer world as we know it. It was called the Y2K bug and centered around the issue that somehow developers and built their code to with the first two digits of the year input field as hard coded to 19. This mean that when everything rolled over to year 2000, computers and software would see it as 1900. Not exactly where you want to be.

Internet Explorer still the most popular browser

Data that was recently announced by Net Applications, shows that all Internet browsers still hold their place in the standings and seeing the comparison in the past 11 months, data shows that Internet Explorer has recorded a growth from 53.63% share to 56.61%, while Firefox fell from 20.08% to 18.29%, and Google Chrome with 18.86% slightly stumbled to 17.76%.

No Firefox for iOS in the near future

Although users would like to see Mozilla and Firefox on iOS platforms, this might not happen in near future, maybe even never. The problem is Apple's insistence that other web browsers for iOS need to browse the web using Apple's UIWebView component, while Apple for their web browser saved advanced Nitro JavaScript engine.
