Google's project Ara lands in January 2015

At the first developer conference dedicated to the concept of a modular cell phone Ara, Google's head of the project Paul Eremenko gave the first clues about the possible occurrence of the devices on the market. As he publicly announced before the audience on the first day of the conference, mobile phone Ara should go on sale in January next year. Basic package should include the motherboard, and with it the screen, Wi-Fi and processor modules. Such a device with core functionality cost only $ 50, while other modules would be available for purchase to customers who make their mobile phone adapted to their own needs.

Samsung launches the ATIV SE for WP8

After Microsoft announced the acquisition of Nokia, the question about interests of other manufacturers for Windows Phone seemed pretty justified. Samsung continues to remain a partner, and now they have introduced a new device. From the specification, it will have a processor (model not known) with four cores working at 2.3 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 13 -megapixel resolution camera and removable battery of 2600 mAh.

Sailfish OS alpha version for Nexus 4

The company behind the Sailfish operating system released the first alpha version that can be installed on the Android device. Since this is alpha version, installation is not available for a large number of devices, and is only available for one, LG's Nexus 4, while the version for the Samsung Galaxy S III LTE (i9305) is still in preparation.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 line launched

South Korean company Samsung has officially unveiled three new tablets from the new Galaxy Tab 4 generation. These are devices that have the screens with diagonals of 7, 8 and 10.1 inches. All models differ only in the size of the screen, the available space for storage and battery. Other specifications are identical, each device has a screen resolution of 1280x800 pixels, quad core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM, 3 megapixel rear and 1.3 megapixel front camera, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The operating system on all devices is Android 4.4. KitKat.
