Security issue with iPhone chargers
At one of the presentations at the security conference BlackHat USA 2013, researchers from the American University George Tech have demonstrated a method of hacking the iPhone by using seemingly safe charger to charge the battery. Billy Lau, Yeongin Jang and Chengyu Song took advantage of the failure to charge that allowed them to connect to the USB port on any iPhone, bypassing security mechanisms that prevent arbitrary installation of the software, and finally install their own harmful programs. These programs can then be transferred and hidden in the same way as Apple hides their own built-in apps.
Apple Supplier Facing Heat over Chinese Labor
Pegatron, one of Apples suppliers, is facing heat over the working conditions in its factories in China. Some of the 86 alleged violations include failing to pay wages, mandatory overtime, and insufficient worker training. The full 60 page report by New York based China Labor Watch can be read here.
Cheaper iPhone confirmed
Beside the critics about the working conditions in the Pegatron company, which is one of Apple's biggest partners which assembles their devices, looks like Apple said more than they planned in their report. Organization China Labor Watch has announced one of the most convincing evidence so far that Apple has started with the production of a cheaper version of the iPhone.

They mentioned a variety of colors, so we wont have just black and white as it is now, and devices should come with screens of 5.7 and 4.7 inches, which should compete with Samsung's smartphones, which in this segment has much greater success than the iPhone since mid 2012.
