Foxconn speeds up iPhone 5S production

In Apple's online stores, especially in major markets like the U.S. and China, last month useres ended up waiting up to three weeks to have their iPhone 5S delivered. In order to shorten delivery times, Apple requested from Foxconn to significantly increase production capacity for their flagship mobile phone, on account of lower production of the desired model 5C.

New iMacs delayed into 2013?

The shipping date for the ultrathin Apple iMac desktop computers could be much later than the Apple's initial plans. Apple's announcement regarding the iMac during a presentation in October, claimed the beginning of November as a start date for  the21.5-inch models shipping , while the 27-inch should be available in December.

FoxBots arrived to Foxconn factories

Foxconn has started to implement the strategy of introducing robots in their production line. This was previously announced by the company's chairman Terry Gou. The announcement originally included replacing one million Foxconn employees with robots in the next three years and the first 10,000 units have already been implemented in at least one factory.

Lenovo did well in first quarter 2012

The Lenovo Group declared the results for the first quarter of 2012. Lenovo made 8 million in sales which is a 35% improvement from last year, at the same time net profit has improved by 30%, or $141 million. These results are an indicator that Lenovo can maintain increasing profit in a competative market. On a worldwide scale they had 15% market share, which helps the company to have a significant advantage over others.  They also showed a 24.4% increase in net distribution; making it the 13th quarter in a row they beat the rest of the computer industry in this field.
