Not even two months after it was revealed that Apple has taken the company GT Advanced Technologies specialized in producing sapphire glass, arrives the patent application in which the ways in which the company would apply the new material are clarified.

It looks like Intel is branching out in other directions in terms of operating system partners. Currently they work with both Microsoft and Apple as the primary processor for systems running these two competing OSes. Now Intel is looking to the tablet and mobile market as they cozy up with Google’s Android. Although the announcement is fairly recent many have heard the rumblings through a few teasing comments made on the internet.

Microsoft's Steve Clayton interviewed the company's former CEO Bill Gates about Microsoft's future and what kind of impact Windows 8 and Surface will have on it. Gates talked about Windows coming into a new arena with touch-screens and tablets. This will be without question a big turnaround point for the company that will show whether or not Microsoft is able to make an entrance into the new markets. Gates stepped down as a CEO back in 2000, but he is still aware of what's going on with the company.
