Microsoft and Google Bow to Kill Switches
It seems that Microsoft and Google have caved to government demands for “Kill Switches” in their phones. For those of you that might wonder what a Kill Switch is, it is an embedded mechanism that can render a phone inoperable from a remote location. Through the use of simple commands you can shut down the ability to make calls, receive data etc. and in some cases these switches would automatically turn on location features to allow the phones to be tracked.
WhatsApp available again on WP 8.1
Since the arrival of Windows Phone 8.1 users have reported issues with WhatsApp, primarily in the area of unreliable notifications. This has resulted in the withdrawal of the application from the Windows Phone Store.
LG returns to Windows Phone
In addition to the G3 model, LG is preparing another smartphone based on Windows Phone 8.1. Evleaks on Twitter published unofficial photos of LG'S Windows smartphone codenamed Uni8, which could soon be on sale.
Cortana not available for users below 13 years of age
Users who have installed Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview version of the operating system on their smartphones noted that Microsoft entered the age restrictions for use of a personal assistant, Cortana. If you login to your Windows Phone smartphone with an account from which it is clear that you are under 13, Microsoft's personal assistant Cortana will be unavailable and a message will appear "I'm sorry, you'll need to be a bit older before I can help you."

Samsung launches the ATIV SE for WP8
After Microsoft announced the acquisition of Nokia, the question about interests of other manufacturers for Windows Phone seemed pretty justified. Samsung continues to remain a partner, and now they have introduced a new device. From the specification, it will have a processor (model not known) with four cores working at 2.3 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 13 -megapixel resolution camera and removable battery of 2600 mAh.

Microsoft finally starting to give free licences for Windows Phone OS
Last month Microsoft has announced that they will drastically slash the price of licenses for Windows Phone operating system to manufacturers of mobile devices. But now it appears that some of the bolder speculations how some companies will not have to pay any fee to Microsoft to use the WP platform were true.
Blackberry slips past Windows Phone in the US
According to research firm comScore, which refers to the state of the market in January of this year, Windows Phone is the third mobile platform in the U.S. It 's another marketing company that has confirmed third place for Microsoft's mobile operating system after IDC who did it back in May of 2013.
