Who will buy BlackBerry?

Written by

Reading time is around minutes.

BlackBerry is in trouble, and the company has received an offer for the acquisition from Fairfax Financial. However, a transaction worth $4.7 billion is still far from being achieved, and the BlackBerry has an alternative plan.

According to Reuters, the BlackBerry asked giants in the industry to indicate whether they are interested in acquiring. Potential buyers are Intel, LG, Samsung, Google, Cisco and SAP. It is still not sure which companies are serious in intent, but sources say that either way, they are not interested in BlackBerry's business in the mobile market. Instead, they are interested in patents and the company's secure network servers.

Battered BlackBerry last month announced that they are withdrawing from the consumers market, and will instead focus on the business segment.

Tell us if you think Blackberry is doomed.
