Ever have your e-mail account broken into, or your Facebook page vandalized because your 'friend' was able to guess your password? Even if you haven't, here are some basic tips to making your online accounts more secure and less vulnerable to intrusion from unwelcome guests.

Once nearly ubiquitous, Yahoo has been losing ground to more successful companies such as CNN, FOX, and other media outlets. This might just be due to their lack of variety in stories. True, they have several different sections, like sports, weather, local, etc, however, the one I am most interested in is Tech, as are many of the current and upcoming generations.

As netbooks, tablets, and smaller computer like devices are introduced to the market, they all tend to have one thing in common: the lack of reliance on physical software media. In ages past (a decade or two), one had to have a floppy drive to install anything new on their computer. These diskettes were (in their final form) 3.5 inch squares, and the most common form of them contained 1.44 MB of storage space. At one point, this was thought to be ample room.

The tablet wars are going to get very interesting now that Microsoft has pushed out Windows 8 and their “design point” device the Surface RT. Already this morning there are multiple articles about this new OS and hardware from both sides of the argument.  It is interesting to see the comments that range across Facebook and other social networking sites about the new OS, and more importantly about Microsoft’s Surface RT. This last product has created its own subset of fans and haters outside the general argument about Windows 8. So the big question is, where does Windows 8 and Surface RT stand in the market on the day of the launch, and where do they really fit in?
