At age of 83, Amar Gopal Bose died, one of the innovators in the sound industry and founder of the  Bose company specialized in audio devices. He was born in 1929. in India, and grew up in the American city of Philadelphia. After graduating from the American University MIT he became an assistant at the same university. After buying an audio system in 1956, he was disappointed with the performance of the same, after which he took on the research sound system.

This led to the invention of new stereo speakers that were able to reproduce sound and feeling you would get at the concert hall in your very own living room. With the help of investors he founded The Bose Corportaion in 1964, known today by the headphones that completely eliminate sounds from the outside, and numerous award-winning audio systems for use in home, car or for professional purposes.

The company from their beginnings worked on researching acoustics and various related fields. Commitment of the company and its founder to science was crowned by giving away the majority of their shares to MIT where Bose was a lecturer until 2001.
