Apple grows in the U.S.

According to data collected by ComScore, Apple increased its advantage over Samsung in the U.S. during the first quarter and took part of the market from mobile devices based on Android. Overall, in the first three months of this year, Apple with its iPhone in the U.S. took 39% of the entire market of "smart" mobile phones, increasing their lead over Samsung, which took 21.7% of the market.

They also point out that Apple increased its share by 3 percentage points in the U.S. market compared to the last quarter of last year. Little growth is recorded by Samsung too, while all other leading manufacturers, HTC, Motorola and LG, have lost a part of the market share.

Google's Android is still leading the overall platform for a "smart" mobile phones in the U.S., with a share of 52%, although in the first quarter lost more than one percentage point. Second place belongs to Apple's iOS with 39%, the third is BlackebBerry OS whose shares dropped to 5.2%, and in the forth place is Microsoft's Windows Phone, which achieved a slight increase in the share to 3%.
