Amazon could present this year a larger release of their tablet Kindle Fire. Although in recent years tablets with the smaller screen diagonal received increased popularity, with Kindle Fire things are going in the opposite way.
The original Kindle Fire, launched in the end of 2011, had a 7-inch screen, while his successor Kindle Fire HD from the 2012, with the 7-inch release was also available in a version with a 8.9-inch screen. This year's edition of Amazon's tablet will have a 10.1-inch screen with a resolution of 2,560x1,600 and 300 dots per inch), according to Richard Shim, an analyst from the NPD DisplaySearch. Specified pixel density is comparable to Google's Nexus 10 and higher than Apple's Retina display on the iPad 4, which has a slightly smaller diagonal. Shim says that mass production of screens for the new Kindle Fire will start in the third quarter, so that tablet could be launched later this year as it was the case with previous generations. With a 10.1-inch version, Amazon will unveil a new 7 and 8.9-inch models with screens with high resolution (300 ppi).Do you think an HD version of the Kindle Fire will work? Tell us in our Forum
