This is another console based on the idea that games, music, films, and Internet capabilities transfer from the small screen to the big screen running Android. On the hardware side, eSfere will be based on the powerful Nvidia Tegra 3 platform and will have 2 GB of memory, 16 GB of space for applications and multimedia, an HDMI port, a pair of USB ports (with which you will be able to connect a mouse, keyboard, webcam and other peripherals), Bluetooth, WLAN and an Ethernet port. The console itself has a dome shape and will come in seven different colors. The controller, called Touch & Play, is equipped with a large touch-sensitive area which should keep the feeling of playing on the phone, but its makers say it will develop a system that will eliminate the need for removing your eyes from the TV in order to know in which part of the screen we are on.
One thing that is especially interesting is that the Touch & Play comes with a silicone D-Pad, “shrooms” and associated buttons, which will be - at least partly - to transform the classic console gamepad. If 16 GB of internal memory for data is not enough for you, together with eSfere you will be able to buy an external drive with 128 GB of space. It will be installed at the bottom of the dome and it will feature two USB ports. The project definitely sounds interesting, and it will start if in the next 41 days if they collect $390,000.
