Although a bit late, Microsoft has finally realized that they need to offer players something more, so they announced drastic changes to Xbox Live subscription during they E3 conference. The most significant of the changes is related to Gold membership, which will now provide users of more content for the money.
Users of Xbox Live Gold account will now every month, starting with 1 July until the release of Xbox One, get two free games, and among them will be free Assassin's Creed II and Halo 3. It is not yet known whether this practice will be continued after the release of Xbox One, but it is likely that it will because the existing Xbox Live memberships will be completely transferred to the new console.
