After various development versions, pre-orders, contracts with major manufacturers of computers and video display capabilities, Leap Motion has finally officially released their controller that uses technology to detect motion in space.

A device that, according to rumors from the company's, is 200 times more sensitive to movements in the space than the current version of Microsoft Kinect and can detect movement as tiny as one hundredth part of a millimeter from each finger on both hands by sampling 290 times per second, is available for purchase on the website of the company, and should soon be available in retail stores in the United States. Leap Motion allows easy computer control of movements of hands and fingers, and has its own application store, called Airspace, which currently had 75 applications.

Price of the unit is $80, and it can be easily connected to both Mac and PC.
