It is a dual core chip running at 2 GHz made in 32-nanometertechnology. The presentation of 22-nanometer Atom for mobile phones is expected later this year. The processor has nearly twice the performance compared to the previous single-core Medfield chip (shown in the Lenovo K800 mobile phone), and the K900 has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of flash memory storage expandable with microSD cards.
The screen has a diagonal of 5.5 inches, IPS panel and a 1080p resolution (over 400 ppi) and Gorilla Glass 2 protection, and there is also front 2 megapixel camera and the one in the back with a resolution of 13 megapixels with Sony's Exmor BSI CMOS sensor and dual flash. The device is packaged in a stainless steel and plastic, it is only 6.9 mm thick and weighing 162 grams, while the operating system is Android Jelly Bean. Sale starts in April, first in China, and the price has not yet been posted.
[Ed – Intel’s entry into the smart phone market was not unexpected and while we are sure they will continue to build on their existing relationship with Motorola we do know that they are going to begin a big push with Lenovo this year. As mentioned these first phones will only be available in China and there were no timelines mentioned for when (or if) they will hit the US or European markets.]
