Info on Samsung's Windows Phone 8 smartphones has leaked. So far there are specifications for 2 devices and approximate prices for the European market. It is believed that Samsung’s WP8 devices will be based on Galaxy S III. The lower end of the two that we have information about is the GT-I8370, codename Marco. It will feature 4-inch Super AMOLED display with WVGA resolution (800x480). The main camera is 5 megapixels while the front one will have 2 Mpix. The 8GB of integrated memory will be expandable with microSD memory cards. The processor is a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon Krait running at 1.5GHz. The Estimated price for the European market is between 350€ and 450€.

It seems that there is the potential for peace after all between Samsung and Apple. As we have told you over the past few weeks, the patent trial between Samsung and Apple has been a much more tactical event than the show we expected. Both sides have presented many witnesses to support their claims, but were hampered by a time limit imposed by Judge Lucy Koh. The time limit is not unheard of in cases like this as it prevents either side from trying to monopolize time and can help keep things to the facts. We would have to say that Judge Koh’s decision was at least partially successful.

Synaptics, the inventor of the touch pad back in 1995, is looking to revolutionize the touch industry again. On the 17th of August we had a conversation with Synaptics about their new innovation, the ForcePad, and how it and some additional technology could push the mobile and desktop experience to a new dimension. After looking through the all of the details and talking with Synaptics, we think there might even be hope for Windows 8.

Although we have covered many aspects of the ridiculous charges and case against Megaupload and its founder we have only talked about how it could happen in minor detail. However, bolstered on the back of the success at using these tactics the entertainment industry has shifted its focus and is pushing these out across the globe to bring down as many sites as they can. It does not appear to matter if the sites in question are actually guilty of copyright infringement or even if they host any content.
