The Tegra 4 Wayne mobile processors will be expected to target the upper segment of the market and will be based on the ARM Cortex-A15 core (4+1) and a new generation of GeForce graphics processors for mobile devices. Both chips will be made using a 28-nanometer manufacturing process, Wayne in HPL and Grey in HPM version. “We think we will announce our [next-generation Tegra] products at CES and our customers will announce their products at MWC,” said Chris Evenden, director of investor relations for nVidia at Raymond James IT supply chain conference.
Although the first devices with Tegra 4 have already been announced at the Mobile World Congress, their increased availability in the market is expected in the second half of next year. We will be visiting CES2013 and hope to stop by and talk to nVidia, so if you have any questions feel free to let us know so we can ask them.
