BioWare co-founders Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk who needs no introduction, will be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual Game Developers Choice Awards (GDCA). The thirteenth consecutive awards ceremony will be held on 27th March at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, and will be led by veteran of the game industry Tim Shafer from Double Fine.

The duo met while studying medicine at the University of Alberta when they discovered that both share the same passion for video games. ”The BioWare doctors are truly a unique breed. Not only have they created some of the most emotionally-engaging and beloved games ever made, they are two of the most passionate, engaging, just all-around nice guys anyone could be fortunate enough to meet. There's no denying the deep footprint Ray and Greg have made, and how much their dedication and leadership will be missed in our industry.” Meggan Scavio, General Manager of GDC events said.
