Shazam is currently the best known application for recognition of musical performers, but Slim's investment company intends to use for business expansion. Similar software is also in development for broadcasters, which would recognize the music in commercials provide direct link to the websites of advertised product to the viewers.
In Shazam they believe that in the next 18 months segment of TV applications will significantly outstrip revenues from the current musical parts, used by 350 million people. Since 2009. in Shazam was invested a total of $72 million, counting this last Slim's investment.
