After it was announced that the Wii U will not get games like Borderlands 2, Resident Evil 6, and even the upcoming Bioshock Infinite, DMC, Dead Space 3 or Metro: Last Light, Nintendo's new console also lost Crysis 3. The news was confirmed by Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli in an interview with GameSpy, he said that the decision reflects Electronic Arts’s opinion that the Wii U release of the game would not be profitable.
“There has been discussions between Nintendo and EA and Crytek, but the bottom line is that there is that there's not enough business drive in. It's a purely business decision. I'd love to see it on Wii U, but what I love to see and what gets done at the end of the day are two different things.“ Yerli said, adding that the development itself is not enough, and that someone needs to issue a game, advertise and sell.
