So long Adobe Flash

HTML5vsFlash

As of today, Adobe's Flash is officially removed from Google Play. They announced last November “we are focusing our work with Flash on PC browsing and mobile apps packaged with Adobe AIR, and will be discontinuing our development of the Flash Player for mobile browsers.“ Android 4.1 wont have any certified implementations of Flash Player. Adobe will use configuration settings in the Google Play Store to limit continued access to Flash Player updates to only those devices that already have Flash Player installed.

Judge Lucy Koh Wants Another Meeting Between Apple and Samsung Saying There Is A Danger To Both, But Who Is In More Danger?

73

Judge Lucy Koh has asked that Samsung and Apple executive meet for a third time. Her request for a peace talk is coming with only about a day and half of Samsung’s presentation in the bag. This move seems a little odd to us considering her defiance in allowing for key pieces of Samsung evidence to be shown to the jury and her refusal to throw out some Apple patents based on Prior Art.

uTorrent makes ads optional

header-utorrent

After an announcement that they will include ads in new uTorrent client, BitTorrent faced a huge wave of disapproval from its users and have agreed to take a step back. The original plan was to force advertisements for every customer in the upcoming version of uTorrent, but they decided to make it optional. If you consider the general opinion on ads, we believe that most of users will chose not to see them.  The ads will come in the form of sponsored torrents that will reach a user base of 125 million active users worldwide. We must mention that BitTorrent asked their users what they think about the forced ads they were about to implement.

AntiLeaks Denies Being a Government Agency, Claims The Attacks Will Continue

It seems that WikiLeaks has managed to get itself back online despite the continued pounding form a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack that reached bandwidth gobbling heights of 10Gb/s. The group claiming responsibility has taken to calling themselves AntiLeaks. They claim that they are attacking the site because WikiLeaks founder and own Julian Assange is avoiding justice by hiding in the Ecuadorian Embassy in the UK and has nothing to do with the release of Stratfor documents detailing a new monitoring technology developed by former CIA employees under the corporate name Abraxis.
