AFS 80 400 ED VR

The first version of the FX- format lens appeared on the market 12 years ago, and Nikon has now decided that it is time for a refresh. The new lens, named AF-S NIKKOR 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR, brings a completely new design of optics consisting of 20 elements distributed in 12 groups. These ED elements are the main reason behind the high cost of a new lens which in America cost around $2,700. Front glass lens boasts with a nano-crystal coating which reduces the effect of sun flashes (flare).
