Intel intends to introduce three lower-end processors for the lower segment of the market very soon which will be based on existing architectures. In the plan are the Celeron G470 chipset, Core i3-3245 and Core i3-3250, with the Celeron model based on the Sandy Bridge architecture, and the remaining two have Ivy Bridge processor design.
Microsoft's new operating system for personal computers posted a small increase in February compared to January, but is still only fourth in popularity behind Windows 7, XP, and Vista. Overall in February, 2.67% of the total global Internet traffic recorded by the company NetApplications was related to Windows 8.
Sony announced their new SLT camera with Translucent Mirror Technology. The new model called the a58 comes with Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor that has a resolution of 20 megapixels. The a58 has sensitivity ranges from ISO 100 to ISO 16,000 (and ISO 25,600 with Multi Frame NR), and a shutter speed of up to five frames per second, and eight photographs per second in Tele-zoom Continuous Advance Priority AE mode.
Microsoft will soon expand the global availability of their Surface RT and Surface Pro tablets. The company announced on their official blog the launch of Surface RT tablets in several new markets in late March, and better availability of Surface Pro devices in the coming months.
Zenimax Online has confirmed that the first round of invitations for beta testing of The Elder Scrolls Online will be sent at the end of the current month (March). The first closed beta test was held on 28th February among employees of Zenimax Online Studios, and their families and friends. Apparently Elder Scrolls Online proved stable enough to open it to a wider public.
